International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa”

The program was held for the first time in 2019 with the participation of 18 male and female diplomats from around the world. The IDP (Dhiyafa) program, a winner of the 2018 Government Competition (Fikra), which is an initiative by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), aims to introduce participants to the rich history and culture of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

IDP also serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and building connections with diplomats of various backgrounds, in formal and informal settings.

In 2022, the second edition of the program was held with the participation of 19 member states of the "Asian Cooperation Dialogue", where diplomats from these countries were invited with the aim of enhancing cooperation among the member states of the dialogue, on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain's assumption of the presidency of the dialogue.

The program covers a spectrum of activities ranging from lectures and interactive sessions with Bahraini diplomats, high level officials within the Bahraini government, the private sector and civil society.
