Role of the Committee

  1. Ensure the inclusiveness of the Ministry’s development plans and programmes and their compatibility to women’s needs.
  2. Contribute to the preparation of the Ministry’s plans that guarantee equal opportunities for both sexes.
  3. Emphasize the principle of equal opportunities among the Ministry’s employees in the areas of appointment and promotion, participation in work-related courses and events, and services provided to the Ministry’s employees and their families accompanying them abroad.
  4. Work on training the Ministry’s employees in the Kingdom and its missions abroad in the field of integrating women’s needs and equal opportunities, through preparing qualification programs to achieve the goals of the committee.

Objectives of the Committee

  1. Ensuring equal opportunities among staff in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  2. Ensuring the fulfilment of women needs in all spheres and promote Equal Opportunities between the sexes.
  3. Contributing to the preparation of the Ministry’s plans that guarantee equal opportunities for both sexes.
  4. Awareness of women working in the Ministry of their rights as well as their constitutional and legal duties.
  5. Qualifying the second echelon of ministry staff to create a new generation of leaders.
  6. Advancing female diplomats to occupy decision-making and supervisory positions (ambassadors abroad, directors of sectors and heads of offices).
