Bahrain warns against launch of Israeli military attack on Rafah

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's deep concern about an Israeli plan to launch a ground military attack on the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, the last resort for more than a million Palestinians. It further warns of its catastrophic repercussions on the lives of civilians humanitarian conditions, and the serious implications it poses on regional security and stability.

The ministry also called on the international community and the Security Council to intervene urgently and immediately to prevent the Israeli military attack, as it is a serious violation of the rules of international law and international humanitarian law.

The ministry reaffirms Bahrain’s unequivocal position calling for a ceasefire and rejecting the forced displacement of the brotherly Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, in addition to providing protection for civilians and for them to return to their homes, immediately and permanently, and support efforts to reach a sustainable peaceful solution to end the war and prevent the expansion of military operations.
