The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the success of the United Arab Emirates’ mediation efforts which resulted in the exchange of prisoners of war (POW) between Russia and Ukraine, appreciating the UAE’s diplomatic initiatives to resolve disputes peacefully and mitigate their humanitarian repercussions.
In a statement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s support for international efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire and agreeing on a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis through dialogue and negotiations, in accordance with the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
This will contribute to enhancing security, stability and peace at the regional and international levels, the Ministry added in its statement.
