Preparations for third Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council meeting discussed

Preparations for the third meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which will be held in Riyadh, under the joint chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, were discussed today in a preparatory committee.

Led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Bahraini delegation to the preparatory committee meeting also included Hamad bin Faisal Al Maliki, Cabinet Affairs Minister, and Yousif Abdulla Humood, Undersecretary of the Finance and National Economy Ministry.

The Saudi delegation was led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, with the participation of Mohammed Al Jadaan, Finance Minister, and Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State and Cabinet Member for Shura Council Affairs.

The Saudi Foreign Minister delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Bahraini delegation. He asserted that the achievements and initiatives of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council’s taskforces and sub-committees would contribute to boosting joint action, wishing the Council’s third meeting every success.

Dr. Al Zayani, in his speech, appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to the Bahraini delegation, lauding the distinguished preparations for the meeting. He also hailed the long-standing fraternal relations between the two kingdoms.

The Minister commended Saudi Arabia’s dedication to unifying Arab and Islamic efforts to support the Palestinian cause and end the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. He also praised its endeavours to host Arab summits with international blocs to enhance joint cooperation and unify efforts in the face of global political, security and economic challenges.

The panel discussed the topics on the agenda of the third meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, including the draft agreements and memoranda of understanding to be signed during it, in addition to the new initiatives that will be submitted to the Council to approve it.
