The Foreign Minister delivered a speech in which he conveyed to the members of the ministry greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing them success in performing their national duty and advancing Bahraini diplomacy towards its goals of implementing the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that the celebration of the Diplomatic Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain reflects the keenness of HM the King, his appreciation and great interest in the diplomatic work, as well as HM the King’s appreciation of the constructive active role played by Bahraini diplomacy in consolidating friendly relations and cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, preserving the interests of the homeland and citizens at home and abroad, spreading the values of peace, tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood, and strengthening international cooperation with the countries of the world in accordance with the rules of international law and international conventions.
He also expressed his deep pride of the distinguished achievements of Bahraini diplomacy and its presence in all fields through its national journey that spanned nearly 55 years.
He also praised the continuous efforts of the diplomats and administrative staff working in the Kingdom of Bahrain's diplomatic missions abroad, and extending bridges of cooperation with the countries of the world.
The ceremony also featured a film that highlighted the achievements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the past year, as well as the hard work and dedication of the team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which contributed greatly to serving the foreign policy objectives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, protecting its interests, and enhancing its regional and international status and role.
The Foreign Minister also honored a number of the ministry's distinguished diplomatic and administrative staff who contributed with their tireless efforts to develop performance and improve productivity in accordance with the "Excellence" system of 2023. In addition, the minister honored winners of the best initiatives of 2023.
The ceremony concluded with a staff competition that highlighted the history of Bahraini diplomacy and diplomatic work.
